María Elena Gutiérrez-Rentería

Dr. Gutiérrez-Rentería earned a doctorate in Public Communication from the Universidad de Navarra (Pamplona, Spain) and is a Professor in the School of Business and Economics at the Universidad Panamericana in Guadalajara, México. She is a former Chair of the School of Communication at the same university. Her bachelor's degree is in Business and Finance. Gutiérrez-Rentería is a member of the National System of Researchers in Mexico (Level 1). Her work has been published in The International Journal on Media Management, the Handbook of Spanish Language Media, the Revista de Comunicación (University of Piura, Peru), the Journal of Spanish Language Media, and in the books Media Management and Economics Research in a Transmedia Environment edited by Dr. Alan Albarran. Gutiérrez-Rentería currently serves on the editorial boards of the International Journal on Media Management and the International Journal for Hispanic Media.
