College of Engineering, Department of Chemical Engineering
Dr. Nuraje's research interests are primarily in nanomaterials and biomaterials. Specifically, his goal is to explore the physical and chemical properties of new functional materials and understand their "bottom-up" assembly and formation into hierarchical structures with the goals of discovering new fundamentals and bringing about breakthroughs in solar energy conversion, environmental remediation and oil recovery. Nuraje received his Ph.D. in chemistry (subdisciplines: nanotechnology and materials science) from The City University of New York in 2008. He was a postdoctoral associate in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2008 to 2013 and a research scientist at MIT from 2013 to 2015.
