Sheima Jatib Khatib

College of Engineering, Department of Chemical Engineering

Dr. Khatib is a chemical engineer who is investigating new materials that are composed of key catalytic components and new catalytic systems with membranes to improve the yield to the desired chemical products and solve critical problems in industrial and energy applications. To conduct these studies, she uses a variety of disciplines that include catalysis, materials chemistry, physical chemistry, spectroscopy and engineering. Khatib received her PhD in Chemical Physics from the Autonomous University of Madrid in 2007. Prior to joining TTU, She was a research associate in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Virginia Tech.
