Ron HendrickThank you for your interest in joining Texas Tech. This is perhaps the most important period in the university's history since its founding over 90 years ago. We are on a trajectory to become a great national research university. There is growth everywhere on campus. In our student population, in our facilities, and in the quality faculty and staff we are hiring. I can tell you this is an exciting and rewarding time to join the Red Raider family.

Teaching, Learning & Professional Development

The Teaching, Learning, and Professional Development Center (TLPDC) supports the university's commitment to excellence in teaching and learning. Available to faculty at all stages of their careers, the TLPDC offers assistance with teaching resources, state of the art classroom technology, academic integrity and ethics questions, and a variety of symposia and workshops. Also, the TLPDC houses the university's Teaching Academy, a long-standing entity dedicated to promoting the highest values of teaching and learning and to recognizing our most prominent faculty for teaching excellence.

Research

The Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR) is committed to supporting faculty research, scholarship and creative activity. The OVPR offers a variety of faculty development opportunities and internal funding programs to promote faculty success in research and creative activities, and to assist faculty develop successful external funding proposals. The Transdisciplinary Research Academy demonstrates the university's commitment to bringing faculty with diverse backgrounds and expertise together to explore questions that have a global impact and intersect with the strategic research themes of the university.
