Coordinating End-to-End Early Alerts

To improve student outcomes and create a more seamless student experience, the response to an early alert should be coordinated from beginning to end. However, in reality, colleges struggle to effectively identify, triage, and resolve early alerts, as well as to measure the effectiveness of those interventions.

A continuation of our work documenting best practices to bring the Coordinated Care Network to life, this session was originally presented at CONNECTED18 and will explore what progressive members are doing to ensure that the management of early alerts is seamless across units.

The ROI of Student Success

The next decade will bring unprecedented competition for shrinking pools of prospective students, threatening budgets across higher education. In response, forward-thinking colleges have begun approaching student success not just as a moral imperative but also as a necessary measure for preserving and growing enrollments. How has this shift influenced their mindset, strategy, and investments?

In this session presented at CONNECTED18, Ed Venit, Managing Director of Strategic Research, will draw on insights from progressive colleges to share a primer on everything you need to know to weather the coming storm.

Improving Adult Learner Engagement by Focusing on Career Alignment

Adult learners see college as an opportunity to build skills to seek better jobs to support their families, but often find college campuses ill-suited to support their goals. As the population of students with adult responsibilities grows, advisors and faculty must consider ways to put their post-traditional students on the most effective and efficient path to success. Join this session to learn how prioritizing adult learners' career focus can improve adult learner engagement and outcomes.
