Derek Reed and Russ Plowman were in Johnson City this weekend presenting to the Texas Lavender Association (TLA).
We were able to meet and discuss the growth of lavender as an alternative crop for
Texas with over 60 members of the TLA.
Curtis Swift (pictured) of Mesa Lavender, Colorado presented a very informative demonstration
of lavender distillation. Derek Reed discussed his asexual propagation of lavender
on Saturday afternoon and the development of the Lavender Trials at the Horticulture
Greenhouse Gardens.
