1/29/2024: At this time, we currently have availability for individual adult and child therapy clients, and for couples therapy! Call us for completing initial pre-screening questions and for scheduling the phone screening. Please note our primary modality continues to be in-person, and first appointments must be completed in person. Wait times for ADHD and IQ assessments are approximately 1-3 months. Our waitlists for LD and general psychological assessments are currently closed.

The Psychology Clinic is a training and research center that provides psychotherapy and assessment services to the University, Lubbock, and neighboring communities. The clinic is housed in and operated by the Department of Psychological Sciences and is the primary training facility for graduate students in the Counseling and Clinical Psychology Ph.D. programs at Texas Tech University. The clinic is staffed by advanced doctoral students under the supervision of Ph.D. psychologists who are faculty members in the Clinical and Counseling Psychology programs. Both of these programs are accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA Office of Program Consultation and Accreditation, 750 First Street, NE, Washington, DC 20002-4242; 202-336-5979). The Psychology Clinic strives to offer high quality and cost-efficient services to our clients. We value and respect the multiple identities and communities with whom we work. Services are confidential and personalized to meet the particular need of each client. The director of the clinic is Dr. Megan Thoen, who is a licensed psychologist and Texas Tech alum.
