The Suicide and Depression Research Program aims broadly to investigate depression, suicide ideation, and life threatening behavior. This research is being conducted by Kelly C. Cukrowicz, Ph.D. and colleagues in an effort to better understand the reasons for the high rate of suicide among older adult, Caucasian males. In particular, our research group will be conducting research on how relationships and emotions impact these problems. In the future we hope to utilize this information to improve prevention and treatment strategies that will help save lives.
