The Clinical Psychology Graduate Student Council

The purpose of the Clinical Council is to provide support to graduate students in the Clinical Psychology doctoral program, to provide a source of communication between the graduate students and Clinical Psychology faculty, to help in the recruitment of incoming graduate students with a focus of students from underrepresented populations, and to encourage and support research and professional activities.

Activities

The Clinical Psychology Graduate Student Council is also involved in several activates in the department, the university, and the community. The following is a list of recent activities:

  • Clinical Psychology Interview Day
  • Sexual Assault Awareness Month
  • Suicide Awareness Week
  • Alcohol Use and Abuse Awareness Week
  • Canned food drive for the Bridge of Lubbock
  • Movember (month of awareness about men's health)
  • Charity drive for Hope Lodge (collecting personal hygiene items)
  • Walk a Mile in Her Shoes

The Clinical Psychology Graduate Student Council also co-hosted an all day treatment workshop on the Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics during the spring 2013 semester.
