Communicating Job Expectations and Evaluating Employee Results
Performance Management focuses on the manager’s/supervisor’s basic responsibility – encouraging results through the efforts of others. The role of the manager/supervisor in the performance management process is not unlike the role of a good coach who trains employees intensively by instruction, demonstration, practice, and by providing feedback that helps each employee improve. This class reviews the pertinent portions of Texas Tech University OP 70.12, "Performance Management," that describe the communication process expected of managers/supervisors.At the end of class, the supervisor will be able to:
