How to Improve Unsatisfactory Performance with Progressive Discipline Techniques
What is “unsatisfactory” performance or conduct? If an employee is failing to perform satisfactorily, what do you do? The procedures are outlined in OP 70.31, and this class helps you learn how to apply them to your situation. In-class activities include multiple case studies and intensive class discussion about deciding if an employee has had a fair chance to succeed in the job.
At the end of class, the supervisor will be able to:
Who should attend? This is an advanced class that presumes the participant has mastered performance management as described in OP 70.12 and attended the Performance Management class as a preliminary study. This class will be of interest to TTU supervisors who direct another employee's work and evaluate job performance.
Prerequisite for this course: MGR100 Supporting Success at Texas Tech and MGR111 Performance Management (For scheduling questions or concerns please, contact the course instructor.)
