Managing for a Respectful Workplace

For Managers & Supervisors
With our workforce and customer base becoming more diverse everyday, managing interactions that stem from individual and cultural differences requires enhanced knowledge and skills. This course will give you practical guidelines and skills to protect your workplace, resolve difficult situations, help others resolve difficult situations and promote a mutually respectful working environment.
We will explore:
identifying management responsibilities for maintaining and promoting a respectful and inclusive workplace;
distinguishing among illegal, impermissible, and inappropriate conduct in the workplace; and
using the four steps in the M.E.E.T. model to address day-to-day workplace situations.
Who should attend? Texas Tech University managers and supervisors who direct the work of others.
Prerequisite for this course: MGR100 Supporting Success at Texas Tech, MGR111 Performance Management, and MGR121 Aligning Employee Performance (For scheduling questions or concerns please, contact the course instructor.)
