History of the British Investors and Big business Ranches.
4th Grade

Big Business Ranches - TLW identify big ranches in the West and explain the importance of British investors in ranching. They will create a map of Texas in the 1880s to  build on mapping skills and show the location of big ranches.

Land Titles and Barbed Wire - TLW examine a land title and barbed wire in order to discuss the ways Europeans changed the ranching industry.

Foreign Ranchers: Cowboys and Investors - TLW identify how the cattle industry changed in the mid-to-late 1800s because of foreign investors and owners. TLW locate big ranches on a map, compare and contrast European owned versus American owned ranches.

British Travelers: Journaling - TLW identify the purposes of travel journaling by British travelers. TLW write about their experiences as a British visitor.
