Prior to visit, pre-visit packets are mailed
to groups. The packets include information about
the National Ranching Heritage Center and activities
for your students. Historic structures at the
National Ranching Heritage Center represent
ranch life from the 1780s to the 1930s.

Supervision
One adult is
required to supervise every 10 students. Teachers
and parents serving as chaperones for their
groups are responsible for supervising students
at all times. To ensure safety, running on the
site or climbing on the hills is prohibited.
Please make sure all teachers and parent volunteers
are familiar with the museum's rules that are
sent with each tour confirmation.
|
Arrival
When your group
arrives at the NRHC, please send one adult in
before the rest of the group to sign in. They
will speak with an NRHC staff member to discuss
an overview of the visit. Students will form
a line outside of the main entrance and receive
a brief orientation from an NRHC staff member
prior to entering the building.
|
Accomodations
The NRHC has
two areas that may be reserved at a small fee
for groups to enjoy a sack lunch during their
visit. Cost varies depending on the size of
your group. Spaces must be reserved in advance.
These areas must be reserved prior to your visit.
Restrooms and water fountains are located at
the museum building and in the 6666 barn. Food
or drink is not allowed on the site or in the
museum building.
