Stewart
Williamson Stewart Williamson’s family has ranched in the Southwest for more than 120 years. He grew up on a ranch in southeastern New Mexico doing day work, neighboring, starting colts and shoeing horses. In the process, he developed an appreciation — and fascination — for good-quality, functional cowboy gear.
In 2003, Stewart attended Johny Weyerts School of Engraving in Alpine, Texas, and was quickly hooked. He practiced diligently and sought tips and advice from makers whose work he admired. He is grateful to Wilson Capron, Jerry Falkner, Mike Anders, Russell Yates and Joe Spiller for sharing their knowledge of the craft. His goal is to make top-quality pieces that are both functional and pleasing to the eye.
He is married to Toni Williamson, and they reside in Portales, N.M. |
