The locomotive bears the markings of the Fort Worth and Denver No. 401 to represent the "iron horses" used by railroads that crossed the South Plains of Texas. The single-deck stock car transported larger animals, as did the double-deck car, which could also hold sheep and goats. Cowhands tending the livestock rode in the caboose.
