Scott W. Baxter has been a banker in Houston for 35 years. He is in his 5th year
as the Private Banking manager for Frost Bank's markets in Houston and San Antonio.
Frost Bank, a 147 year old financial services company with financial centers located
in major markets throughout Texas, hired him directly out of college into their management
& credit training program. His career has included 31 years in lending to commercial
businesses in a wide variety of industries including transportation, distribution,
manufacturing, oil & gas production, and construction. For the 15 years prior to moving
into Private Banking, he managed the Houston oil & gas production lending team while
maintaining a portfolio of relationships with commercial construction companies.
In Houston, Baxter is currently the Chairman of the Board of the River Oaks Chamber Orchestra, is a current board member and past president of the Houston Construction Finance Management Association, and a member in Houston chapters of both the Association for Corporate Growth and the Risk Management Association.
Baxter graduated from Texas Tech University in 1980 with a B.B.A. in Finance. For the past two years, he has served as a member of the banking school's advisory board.
