Brooke is pursuing a Master of Science in Accounting degree with emphasis on Taxation.
During the Spring semester of 2015, she interned at EY in Dallas, Texas with rotations
in Real Estate and International Taxation. Brooke has also interned on Capitol Hill
for Congressmen Mike Conaway, CPA serving Texas District 11 in Washington, D.C. She
will be eligible to sit for the CPA exam May 2015 and will graduate with both her
Bachelor's and Master's August 2015. Brooke's ultimate career goal is to work in
Tax Policy in the future.
Brooke is from the small town of Happy, Texas. This atmosphere has given her a desire to continually serve her community and a drive to succeed. As a native west Texan growing up in a family with their guns up, she is passionate about Texas Tech University and she loves sharing her pride with prospective students and alumni. This has led her into working for President Nellis as both a Student and Graduate Intern in the Office of the President.
In addition, Brooke works as a Fitness Instructor at the Texas Tech Recreational Center and stays active in her school and community through involvement in Mortar Board, President's Select, Chancellor's Ambassadors, and RaiderThon raising money for Children's Miracle Network.
In her spare time, Brooke enjoys taking in the mountain air while skiing or hiking in Angel Fire, New Mexico.
