Dillon Donald is a senior at Texas Tech University, pursuing a degree in finance with a concentration in real estate and is actively seeking full time employment upon May 2016 graduation. Dillon serves as a leader at Texas Tech as the president of the Real Estate Organization, the Vice President for the Financial Management Association, and an active member of the Rawls Business Leadership Program. He has attended industry trips to San Antonio and Dallas with the Real Estate Organization where he gained insight about the real estate industry by visiting various firms and speaking with successful brokers, developers and investors. Dillon was selected to become a member of the Rawls Business Leadership Program through a multi-step interview process and is currently developing leadership skills through active participation in the program. In May of 2015, he took a two week trip to Brazil and Chile with the leadership program in which he encountered international business, cultural differences and leadership development.
On top of organizational involvement and multiple part-time jobs, Dillon has been able to maintain a 3.75 GPA, earning a spot on the President's List (4.0 GPA) for a total of four semesters. Overcoming the adversity of being a first generation college student, he has been able to develop an immense work ethic and continues to gain understanding of the financial/real estate industry. Dillon approaches all areas of life with the same mindset: what you get out of life comes directly from what you put into it.
