Bobby J. Baggett
Bob Baggett is an accomplished financial executive and business and community leader with 30 years of experience in middle market industries that include oil and gas, real estate, banking, technology and private equity. His professional practice spans a variety of disciplines, including tax planning and compliance, financial reporting, corporate finance, buy-side and sell-side due-diligence, forensic accounting, litigation support, treasury, strategic and transactional planning, equity and debt restructurings and managing institutional relationships.
In addition to serving as managing partner and board member of Valeo Capital Advisors LLC, Baggett also is executive vice president and chief financial officer for Primexx Energy Partners, Ltd. He also has served in executive positions with JonesBaggett LLP, KBA Group LLP and Regency Exploration, Inc. Early in his career, he was a tax supervisor with Ernst & Whinney and a partner with Elms, Faris & Company.
Baggett's professional affiliations include Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Since earning a B.B.A. in Accounting from Texas Tech University (1979), Baggett has given back to his alma mater by serving on the Chancellor's Council, Area of Accounting Advisory Council and board of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Foundation local chapter.
In 2014 Baggett was a CFO of the Year Finalist by the Dallas Business Journal. Other awards include inclusion in the Collin County Business Press' list of 21 Leaders of Collin County for the 21st Century and Plano's Volunteer of the Year in 2009 from the Arts Centre of Plano. He also is a graduate of Leadership Plano and Leadership Midland.
Baggett and his wife, Mellie, have three children.
