Brian Heflin has more than 25 years of experience in the banking and financial services industry. He is chief operating officer for PlainsCapital Bank, the Dallas-based regional commercial bank that is part of PlainsCapital Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hilltop Holdings (NYSE: HTH). His responsibilities include providing strategic direction for the organization and serving on the PlainsCapital Bank Board and PlainsCapital Bank Wealth Management Board.
Heflin joined PlainsCapital Bank in 1987 and helped launch the bank into the North Texas region in 1999. He previously served as PlainsCapital Bank's North Texas region chairman and president of its Turtle Creek branch.
At Texas Tech University, Heflin earned a B.B.A (1987) and MBA (1992) in Finance. He also is a graduate of Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University.
Today Heflin's civic interests include serving on the Providence Christian School of Texas Board of Trustees and as president of the New Horizons Ranch and Center Board. Past volunteer work includes North Texas Crime Commission Board, United Way loaned executive and Dallas Theater Center Board.
