After a 27-year career as an executive with Hewlett Packard and Electronic Data Systems, David Abell started DM Home Entertainment in May 2015. The company provides home automation, audio and video, security, wiring and networking services in the new construction and existing home market to be customers' technology integration partner for life. The company has quickly grown to 15 employees.
While at HP/EDS, Abell served as mega-deal outsourcing pursuit manager, client sales executive, alliance executive and global director for two product lines.
Abell grew up 30 miles east of Lubbock. He earned a B.B.A. in Finance from Texas Tech University (1988), where he was a member of Delta Tau Delta and Young Republicans, and an executive M.B.A. from Baylor University (2003). Professional affiliations include CEDIA Association and ProSource Dallas Leadership Counsel.
His community involvement includes serving on the Northwood Hills Homeowners Association Board, Plano YMCA Princess “Longhouse” Board and Collin County Community College Curriculum Advisory Board. He also is a member of Northwest Bible Church and served as a Bible-based parenting instructor.
Abell and his wife, Julie, have one child.
