Dean R. Quinn's in-house practice is responsible for the entire legal function of the S & B group of companies, including corporate and secretarial matters, contracts, real estate, litigation, insurance, human resources and all law and risk management matters.
In 2001, Quinn began working with the privately held S & B group of international engineering and construction companies, which includes S & B Engineers and Constructors, Ltd., S & B Infrastructure, Ltd., S & B Plant Services and Ford, Bacon & Davis, LLC. These companies provide services to the refining, chemical and power industries as well as governments and governmental agencies.
Quinn's previous experience includes senior counsel with The M.W. Kellogg Company and its successor, KBR. The practice focused primarily on international transactions in the chemical and refining industries. He also handled domestic and international litigation and arbitration. Before moving in-house, Quinn was a trial lawyer for about 13 years, practicing litigation in construction, professional malpractice and commercial disputes.
In the community, Quinn has served as a director, secretary and treasurer with the William A. Brookshire Foundation, board member of The Council on Alcohol and Drugs Houston, chair of the National Committee on Risk Management for Sigma Alpha Epsilon, and with other organizations. He is a member of St. Michael Catholic Church.
Quinn earned a B.B.A. in Finance (1982) from Texas Tech University and a JD (1985) from the Texas Tech University School of Law.
