Jim Leito joined BDO USA, LLP in 2014 as Managing Partner of Assurance in the Fort Worth Office. Jim joined Deloitte upon graduation; he left in 1991 and formed Hartman Leito & Bolt, LLP (HLB). Jim and HLB joined BDO in 2014 as a part of the Texas expansion of BDO.
Jim is an Assurance Partner specializing in manufacturing, construction, and the oil and gas industries and he is versed in mergers and acquisitions, due diligence and outsourced CFO. His focus on commitment allows him to establish long-term relationships with his clients to help his client's businesses succeed and grow. Jim ensures the success of his engagements by open and honest communication throughout the entire project with both his clients and the BDO team so that his clients reach the full value for their organizations.
His active involvement in the community has allowed him many leadership roles over the years, and most notably serving as the Chief Operations Officer of the PGA Tour event the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial Country Club where he received the prestigious Pride of the Plaid award, an honor bestowed for years of dedicated services.
Leito earned a B.B.A in Accounting from Texas Tech University in 1979.Jim was a member of Saddle Tramps and Beat Alpha Psi while in college. He currently is a member of Texas Tech Ex-Student Association, Red Raider Club and the Texas Tech Accounting Advisory Council.
He and his wife Carol (a 1979 Tech graduate) reside in Fort Worth and have three children – James IV (32) (graduate of the Texas Tech School of law), Chris (29) and Kelly (26). His personal interests are hunting, fly fishing, golf and spending time with his family and friends at their home at Lake Palo Pinto.
