Karen S. Acree
Karen Acree has more than 30 years of experience in financial and management accounting. She is currently the Vice President & Chief Accounting Officer at American Midstream Partners, LP in Houston.
From 2015 to 2018, she was the chief accounting officer for Jones Energy, Inc., responsible for accounting, financial reporting and tax functions for the NYSE-listed upstream, exploring and production company. Prior to joining Jones Energy, Acree worked for W&T Offshore, Inc. (2007-2015), Bois d' Arc Energy, Inc. (2006-2007), Global Santa Fe Corporation (1982-2006), Adobe Oil & Gas Corporation (1981-1982) and Peat, Marwick Mitchell & Co. (1978-1981). Her professional affiliations include Texas Society of CPAs and Austin Women in Oil & Gas.
Throughout her professional career, Acree has devoted time to community service as well, including several years with Girl Scouts and Junior Achievement. She also worked with a former employer's internal charity committee to support Tour de Cure (American Diabetes Association), Wreaths Across America, Houston Food Bank and other community projects to provide assistance to the needy in the community near the holidays. Acree and her husband, Randy, also own four horses, and she assists her daughter who competes in equestrian events.
While earning a B.B.A. in Accounting from Texas Tech University (1977), Acree was a member of Beta Alpha Psi Accounting and Alpha Chi Omega.
