Kristin Nafziger is a Senior Study Director at Westat—one of the foremost professional
service corporations of its kind—the gold standard of social science research, statistical
analysis, and evidence-based communications.
Kristin has expertise in supporting non-profits, school districts and state education agencies to implement robust initiatives focused on improving outcomes for students and families. She uses her expertise in strategic planning, performance management and superior organizational skills along with her knowledge of local, state and federal education programs to help customers develop and implement innovative and achievable plans to provide high-quality, sustainable services. For the past 10 years, she has led the program enhancement and quality assurance contract for the Texas Education Agency's 21st Century Community Learning Centers program that supports school districts and non-profits providing after-school and summer programs for students in need of assistance. She also plays a key role in the national Building State Capacity and Productivity (BSCP) center by documenting best-practices around strategic communications practices in education, including how to communicate research-based and policy information to education stakeholders.
