Ronald D. Butler II
n 1993, Ronald D. Butler II joined First Financial in Abilene, a $1.4 billion bank and one of the largest based in West Texas, as a senior vice president and commercial lending officer. He had a nine-year experience with another local financial institution. From 1996 to 1999, he was president/CEO of First Financial Bank, N.A., Eastland, followed by seven years as president/CEO of First Financial Bank, N.A., Stephenville. Butler returned to Abilene as president/CEO in 2006.
Butler is regularly active in his communities. He is a current or former board member for several diverse groups, including Abilene Chamber of Commerce, United Way of Abilene, Ben Richey Boys Ranch, Brazos River Authority, Stephenville Economic Development Foundation, Hendrick Medical Center Foundation and Abilene Industrial Foundation.
After earning a B.B.A in Finance in 1982 from Texas Tech University, Butler received an MBA from Tarleton State University in 1987 and attended banking schools at Southern Methodist University and Oklahoma University.
