Texas Tech University

Juris Doctor (JD) / MSA

In partnership with the Texas Tech University School of Law, the JD/MSA program is designed for highly motivated students interested in the intersection of accounting, law and business. By completing the program you will be qualified to sit for both the Certified Public Accounting (CPA) exam and the Bar Exam.

Program Format

You can choose from the Audit/Financial Reporting track or the Taxation track. By applying 12 hours of graduate coursework in accounting toward the requirements for the JD degree and 12 hours of Law courses toward the requirements for the MSA degree, you can complete both degrees in as little as three and a half years.

You will work with advisors from both colleges to ensure all graduation requirements are met for each program. Additionally, you must maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher as a graduation requirement.

Admissions

Students must meet the admission requirements for both the Law School and Graduate School. The Graduate School will accept the LSAT in lieu of the GRE or GMAT exam.
