A Ph.D. in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing provides students with a solid foundation in all areas of marketing to prepare them for careers as professional educators. Rigorous course and research activities provide the student with an in-depth understanding of the theoretical, conceptual and managerial foundations of marketing. Students will develop new research models and methodologies and will implement new decision models and techniques in the practice of marketing.

Ph.D. students will have the opportunity to work directly with marketing faculty on current research projects. This hands-on, closely-supervised mentoring allows doctoral students to develop and enhance their own research skills in preparation for a rewarding academic career. Faculty members tend to be active in both research and business consulting. Each of the seminars offered by the department reflects a combination of expertise and field-level experience. Recent graduates of the program have received offers of faculty positions at leading business schools across the nation.
