Michael Giberson, Ph.D. and associate professor of practice in the Area of Energy, Economics and Law, was quoted in the New York Times DealBook column by Andrew Ross Sorkin, "Hurricane Price Gouging Is Despicable, Right? Not to Some Economists," on Sept. 11. The article discusses price gouging from an economists perspective in relation to the recent hurricanes.
He was also quoted on price gouging on the Marketplace radio news show on Sept. 1: "Economists don't think price gouging is a problem. But what about our social values?"
