Aniruddha Pangarkar is a 2nd year Marketing PhD student at the Rawls College of Business. He has an MBA degree obtained in 2002 from Thunderbird School of Global Management, the Number 1 School for International Business in the world. His undergraduate degree is in Business from India. Before starting the PhD Program at Texas Tech, Aniruddha worked in the industry for 15 years in several senior management and leadership roles in Fortune 500 companies, notably as Vice-President for Bank of New York Mellon and Assistant Vice-President for Credit Suisse, two of the world's leading investment banks. He has worked in three different continents- Asia, North America and Europe. His work experience includes stints in countries such as the US, UK, and India. He has also traveled to 18 different countries across the globe and is a truly global citizen. Aniruddha's research interests lie in the area of consumer behavior and marketing strategy. Currently he is working on research related to luxury goods and conspicuous consumption in emerging markets. In the past he has presented his research at prestigious conferences such as American Marketing Association and Society for Marketing Advances. At Texas Tech, Aniruddha is also teaching the Marketing Research class and enjoys blending academic knowledge with his real-world experiences, thus adding value to his students. He firmly believes in creating future leaders for society through empowering his students and motivating them to become successful in their careers.
