Education: B.A., Texas A&M University-Commerce
Scott moved to Lubbock while in grade school and graduated from Lubbock High School. He entered the Texas Tech School of Art receiving a scholarship to study commercial art. Scott later transferred to East Texas State University in Commerce Texas, now Texas A&M University-Commerce, where he changed his focus to studio art with interest in painting and printmaking.
Scott returned to Lubbock and worked in print advertising for five years. Seeking greater artistic creativity, he moved towards outdoor advertising and began working as a creative director. With the introduction of the personal computer, he shifted his focus towards IT and web design.
Scott began working at Texas Tech in 1999 as a Web designer for the Northwest Texas Small Business Development Center region office. He began working at the Rawls College of Business in 2008 where he became involved with video production, editing and video library management using Media Site and Vegas Pro. He also worked with Four Winds interactive software to create and manage the digital media involved in effective digital advertising.
Personally, Scott has been married to Sarah for four years and has a 23 year old son, Daniel, and two step-children, Andrew (17) and Allison (14). He stays busy with projects around the house and enjoys camping and other outdoor activities.
