Meredith Rogers McCarthy, CPA graduated from the Rawls College of Business with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting in 2005. She then attended Texas Christian University and received her Master of Science in Accounting. She starter her career with KPMG in Dallas with the audit practice. That sparked her interest in the oil and gas industry. Meredith then went to work for XTO Energy where she gained valuable experience in several different areas of the oil and gas business such as revenue accounting, financial reporting, and corporate tax. Meredith left XTO after 4 years to become the controller for Double Eagle Development, a fast growing oil and gas company.
Meredith is excited to be a part of the Rawls Raiders to promote recent graduates to companies and help them realize what a valuable asset a Rawls graduate would be to their organization. She is also passionate about helping Rawls graduates pursue their career goals.
Meredith and her husband Ben, also a Texas Tech graduate, just welcome their first child. They both love Tech and enjoy getting to visit Lubbock as often as possible. Meredith is involved in Meals on Wheels, Financial Executives International, the Fort Worth Chapter of CPAs, raising money for breast cancer research and Ladies on the Lamb for the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo.
