Nick Twist is currently the Area Land Manager for the Midland Basin Asset for Apache Corporation based out of Midland, Texas. He is part of a management team that is responsible for the execution of annually investing over $2.5 billion dollars a year into oil and gas wells in the Permian Basin. His areas of responsibility include oil and gas leasing, joint venture development, acquisitions and divestitures, and new venture opportunities. Apache is a leader in horizontal drilling and development in the Permian Basin. Prior to joining Apache in August 2011, he worked at Devon Energy in Houston, TX as a landman working East Texas, Texas Gulf Coast and South Louisiana.
Twist graduated from Texas Tech University in December 2006 with a B.B.A. in Energy Commerce. As a student, he was an active member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity, the Student Landman's Association and was a Senator for the Rawls College of Business with the Student Government Association. He and his wife Meghan have a new born daughter Piper and live in Midland, Texas.
