Team Captains Meeting
There will be a team captain/representative meeting Friday, Oct 28, 2011 at 4:00pm in the Multipurpose Room Green at the Activity Center.
NOTE
Teams must be eligible to compete in the National Tournament to participate in the Regional Soccer Tournament.
Game information/format
Qualifying rounds will consist of pool play with teams advancing to bracket play.
Cancellations
Unanticipated cancellations by teams may result in byes, which will affect the number of games each team participates in.
Player Eligibility
Players must be enrolled for the minimum number of hours as stated below at least 45 days prior to the start of the championship event.
- Undergraduates - minimum of ½ full-time enrollment status
- Graduate - minimum of six hours
- If a player is a graduating senior, and taking less than the required hours to fulfill their graduation requirements, submit a letter from the register along with the registration materials stating that the player will be graduating the same term of the event.
- For NCCS events that occur during an academic break, the preceding semester/quarter will be used to determine eligibility.
- Participants from schools on the quarter system must meet the eligibility requirements of the half time enrollment for both the current and preceding quarter.
Players are now limited to six appearances in NIRSA NCCS National events or appearing on a varsity roster per sport. These appearances do not have to be consecutive, but after 6 appearances on a roster, in the same sport, eligibility is exhausted.
- Beginning in the Fall of 2010, anyone participating as a first-time participant has 6 years of eligibility per sport at NCCS/NIRSA events. Players that have appeared on a NCCS/NIRSA roster between the Fall of 2005 and Spring 2010 also have 6 appearances, that aren't regulated to be consecutive. Any players that appeared on a NCCS/NIRSA event roster prior to the Fall of 2005 are no longer eligible to participate in NCCS/NIRSA events. If a player appeared on a "varsity squad list" of any 2-year or 4-year college varsity team in the same sport this also equals year(s) of used eligibility. If a student played on varsity sport for 2 years, they still have 4 appearances left at NCCS/NIRSA events as long as their team doesn't exceed the maximum number of varsity players.
Players must not be listed on the varsity roster (or "Squad List") in the same or related sport for the current academic year.
- Exceptions to be granted to any player that was listed on the roster for less than 3 weeks
- If a former varsity player has been listed on a varsity roster or "squad list" for four (4) or five (5) academic years, that player is not eligible for NCCS competition until after one full academic year has elapsed from the last academic year they were listed on a school's varsity squad list.

In the event of a tie in points at the end of pool play, the teams to advance will be determined as follows:
- The winner in head to head competition.
- High point differential (goals scored minus goals allowed) • Maximum of 5 points from any one match.
- Most goals for.
- Fewest goals against.
- Most total wins.
- Most shut outs.
- If a tie still exists after steps 1 through 5, NCAA Penalty Kick procedures will be taken fifteen (15) minutes prior to the scheduled start of the appropriate Quarterfinal or Semifinal game.

The teams that tie in the coin flip will compete in NCAA Penalty Kicks to eliminate one team prior to proceeding to NCAA Penalty Kicks with the third team. The coin flip and time of the NCAA Penalty Kicks will be determined at the fields.
