| Fit/Well Office Assistant |
- Conduct and evaluate a variety of fitness tests including blood pressure screening, skin fold percent body fat, flexibility, and vital lung capacity.
-Explain the proper procedures for SRC aerobic fitness equipment and strength training equipment.

Perform Fit/Well Office duties to include reservation of equipment, registration of classes and programs, creation of attractive, informative bulletin boards and displays, distribution of flyers and health handouts, and tally of individual users.

Organize and lead workshops, seminars and clinics on a wide variety of wellness and fitness subjects.

Assist with fitness special events such as fitness xtravaganza, triathlons, etc.

Lead a healthy lifestyle which will promote a positive attitude towards work and general life. |
-Have a working knowledge of the four components of fitness (cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, and body composition) as outlined by ACSM/AHA.

Have a working knowledge of the principles of nutrition; be able to relate this to overall fitness.

Have general computer skills and the ability to learn computer software such as Health Risk Analysis, nutritional evaluation and exercise testing and prescription.

Be able to organize thoughts and clearly communicate with patrons, employees and supervisors; display the qualities of promptness, responsibility, creativity, and time management.

| Massage Therapists |
The Texas Tech University Recreational Sports Department has an opening for a licensed massage therapist. The Recreational Sports Department will provide all needed equipment and supplies such as table, chair, sheets, crèmes, lotions, music, paperwork, etc. Also Recreational Sports will provide and administer the registration and administrative process. If applying for the summer term, the applicant will need to be available during the hours of 8:00am-7:00pm Monday- Friday, Saturday 12:00pm-6:00pm. If applying for the fall term, the applicant will need to be available during the hours of 8:00am-9:00pm Monday- Thursday, Friday 8:00am-7:00pm, Saturday 10:00am-6:00pm, and Sunday 12:00pm-7:00pm.This is a part-time position. |
-provide Swedish and deep tissue massage, have experience in chair massages, be able to work with fit individuals, and maintain organized records and paperwork.
Qualifications: License in Massage Therapy, Community CPR, and experience working with a diverse population. |

-Conduct and evaluate a variety of fitness tests including blood pressure screening, skin fold body composition, submaximal bicycle ergometer testing, flexibility, sit up abdominal strength and 4-8 repetition max strength tests. -Instruct patrons in the use of all SRC cardiovascular equipment and weight training equipment.

Prescribe cardiovascular, muscular strength and endurance, and flexibility exercise programs to SRC patrons.

- Must be extremely self-motivated and willing to work with diverse groups of people
-Possess creativity and problem solving skills that allows work under minimal supervision
