There are a number of free programs available at the Leisure Pool and Aquatics Center! Check them out!

Swim the River
Have you ever wanted to swim long course in the Lazy River, but it just seems like we never turn the current off? Here's your chance to swim in the lazy river and navigate its turns swimming. Great for triathlon preparation and cardiovascular health.

Weekend Mornings Specials
Looking for a little fun on a weekend morning? Check out these fun activities from 10:00 - 11:45am on weekends at the Aquatic Center!
Long Course Swim - October 3, October 17, November 7 and December 5
Kayak Polo - October 25, and November 22

Stroke Mechanics and Flip Turn Clinics
This is a free clinic to improve your stroke mechanics and flip turns. No pre-registration is necessary.

3000 Meter Swim
Think you can eat what Michael Phelps eats for breakfast and then swim this long course? We don't recommend you trying to eat 10,000 calories in a day, but we definitely want you out for this great swim! This event is designed to test your personal limits. The swim is free and T-shirts are available for purchase. (Yes! We count the laps for you!)

Classes and How To Register
There are two ways you can register for these classes. You can stop by the Leisure Pool during normal operating hours (for a list click here: hours) or you can also call the Leisure Poolr at 742-1339 and register over the phone! Some classes do require a deposit, so you might have to stop by and see us! Hope to see you in the water soon!

Swim Fit
Train with an experienced instructor and improve your technique and endurance. $40 for TTU/SRC Members. $50 for Non-members
Fall Session: Register by September 18
September 22 - November 24 on Tuesdays from 7:00 - 9:00pm

Adult Beginner Swimming
Designed for adults, these classes will help you feel comfortable in the water and start you on a path to a great workout! Our Beginning Classes teaches the basics of swimming and water safety. It's perfect if you haven't been in the pool for a while or are just starting out.
All classes are taught by an American Red Cross instructor in a supportive and friendly environment. The cost is $25 for Texas Tech Students, Faculty and Staff and $35 for community participants.
Fall Session 1: Register by September 11
September 14 - 30 on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30 - 7:30pm

Fall Session 2: Register by October 30
November 2 - 18 on
Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30 - 7:30pm

Adult Intermediate Swimming
Fall Session: Register by October 30
November 2 - 18 on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:30 - 8:30pm


Youth Learn To Swim
Got a little one? Our youth swim programs are the perfect start for your child to experience the water for the first time or improve their skills. We offer classes ranging from Parent and Me to Level 4 in the Fall.

Fall Session: Classes fill fast! Registration opens August 27th!
October 6 - 29 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 - 8:00pm
