Lifeguarding and Red Cross Certification Classes
Program registration in person at the Aquatic Center or Leisure Pool during open hours. (Aquatic Center is open October through mid-April, Leisure Pool is open mid-April through Early October) You must be registered by the Wednesday in advance of the class starting. For certification courses, a non-refundable deposit is due upon registration.

Lifeguard Classes
Become a certified American Red Cross Lifeguard! This course includes lifeguard techniques, standard First Aid, and CP/R/AED for Lifeguards. The cost is $140 for Texas Tech students and faculty/staff and $150 for the community; a non-refundable $30 deposit is due at the time of registration. Lifeguard Instructor Class
This course prepares instructor candidates to use course and presentation materials, conduct training sessions and evaluate the progress of candidates in professional-level American Red Cross courses. The cost is $160 for Texas Tech students and faculty/staff and $180 for the community; a non-refundable $30 deposit is due at the time of registration. Cross Swimming and Water Safety courses by developing their understanding of how to use the course materials, how to conduct training sessions and how to evaluate the process of the students. Become certified in American Red Cross Adult CPR/AED. The cost is $45 for all participants.
