Lifeguarding Certification Classes
This course prepares candidates to recognize and respond quickly and effectively to aquatic emergencies and prevent drowning and other incidents. After successful completion of the course, participants will receive the following certifications: Lifeguard Training (good for 2 years), First Aid (2 years), Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for The Professional Rescuer (2 years) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) (2 years).
How to Sign up for TTU Rec Sports Lifeguard Classes
1) Register for a Lifeguard Precourse Session. You will receive an email confirmation with specific instructions. To register for the Precourse Session, please click here.
2) Attend the Precourse Session and PASS your prerequisite skills. At this point, you will pay for the class. You will receive a link to the American Red Cross website where you will begin your online training.
3) Complete the required E-Learning (approximately 7 hours) for the class PRIOR to your scheduled time at the Pool.
4)Come to class! Successfully complete your skills and pass your tests and you will be certified upon completion!
