Fall 2009 Lifeguarding Classes

Lifeguard Challenge
Are you currently certified and about to expire?  Are you certified by another agency other than American Red Cross? We have a challenge system especially for you!  Update your certification by taking this Red Cross challenge course. The cost is $75 ($40 for CPR only).

Fall Challenge Dates
Wednesday, October 14 from 6:00 - 9:00pm
Thursday, November 12 from 6:00 - 9:00pm

Lifeguard Classes
Become a certified American Red Cross Lifeguard. This course includes lifeguard techniques, standard First Aid, and CPR for the professional rescuer. Cost is $130 for Texas Tech students and faculty/staff and $140 for the community. Includes the book and all certification costs. Sessions include:

October 20 - November 12 on Tuesdays and Thursdays

Lifeguard Instructor Class
Already a lifeguard? Be able to teach others to become Red Cross certified lifeguards with our lifeguard instructor class.

Water Safety Instructor
The American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Course provides instructor candidates the training needed to teach courses in the American Red Cross Swimming and Water Safety Program by developing their understanding of how to use the course materials, how to conduct training sessions and how to evaluate participants' progress.
