Student Summer Membership Information
*Students currently enrolled in Summer School who have paid the Recreation Fee can utilize all facilities upon presentation of a valid picture ID

*Students who have not enrolled for the summer but who have proof of enrollment for the 200
8 Fall semester can purchase a summer pass for $65 ($32.50 for each summer session)
*TA's and RA's who waived fees must purchase a mem
bership at the Fac/Staff rate.
*Spouses of eligible students can purchase a summer semester pass ($20). Must bring student picture ID or summer pass and your drivers license.


Facilities include:

The Robert H. Ewalt Student Recreation Center

  • 7 basketball or nine volleyball courts
  • an indoor walking/jogging track
  • 130 pieces of cardiovascular equipment fitness studios
  • 12 racquetball and one squash court
  • fitness/wellness center
  • an indoor soccer/ inline hockey arena
  • outdoor pursuits center
  • a climbing center
  • a 6,500 square feet free weight room
  • a circuit machine weight room
  • 5,300 square feet selectorized machine weight room

The Recreational Aquatic Center

  • an 8 lane, 25 yard lap swim area
  • 2 one-meter diving boards
  • a basketball goal & volleyball net
  • a large tanning area
  • adult and children’s swim classes
  • water fitness and American Red Cross classes and aquatic special events
  • removable air-supported roof provides year round swimming

Outdoor Recreation Facilities

  • 8 tennis courts
  • 1 mile jogging track around the area
  • 2 sand volleyball courts
  • a picnic gazebo
  • 4 lighted football/soccer/multi purpose fields for intramural and club sports use
  • A West Rec Softball Complex, located ½ mile from the SRC, houses 4 fenced softball fields with dirt infields and lights also for intramural use.

The Outdoor Pursuits Center

  • Trips, Workshops and Equipment Rentals
  • The Climbing Center Resource Center

Special Events

  • Total Rec Experience - Every September
  • Rec Sports All-Nighter - Every January
  • Monthly activities and events in the Rec Center

Intramurals

  • Individual and Team Sports Run Year-round
  • Open for all skill levels. Most sports include Men's, Women's and Co-Rec divisions
  • Intramural Officiating is a great part time job in a sports environment
