Join us in Santa Elena Canyon in Big Bend National Park. Enjoy the beautiful West Texas scenery on this raft supported canoe trip. All canoeing experience levels are welcome.

Learning Goals:
Canoeing basics such as paddling strokes and working together, aspects of desert river ecology, portaging, aspects of Leave No Trace environmental ethics

Prior Experience:
No experience required.

Physical/Mental Challenge:
Moderate. Much of the challenge comes from learning how to work with your partner to maneuver your canoe together.

  • All necessary equipment such as canoes, paddles, life jackets, tents, sleeping bags, etc
