Intro to White Water Kayaking
Join us as we navigate the whitewaters of the Texas Hill Country! This course is designed to introduce basic fundamental skills needed for whitewater kayaking. Topics introduced include the kayak roll, boat control, and basic river running skills. Although designed as a first time experience, intermediate kayakers are also welcome to hone their existing skills and learn new ones. This class is recommended prior to the intermediate whitewater kayaking trip

Learning Goals:
Kayaking basics such as paddling strokes, wet-exits, T-Rescue, rolling, catching eddies, and ferrying; aspects of Leave No Trace environmental ethics.
Prior Experience:
None
Physical/Mental Challenge:
Moderate. Much of the challenge comes from learning how to relax and be comfortable in the boat.
