New Mexico Rock Climbing

Climbers of all skill levels are encouraged to join us for a weekend of great climbing in one of New Mexico’s many excellent climbing destinations. Climbing sites and activity will be determined based on the needs of the group. So come one, come all for a weekend of great climbing, great food, and great people!

Location:
New Mexico – Possible venues include White Rock, Diablo Canyon, El Rito, Tres Piedrais

Activity:
Sport Climbing

Learning Goals:
Lead Climbing, Lead Belaying, Setting Protection, Anchor Construction, Self-Rescue Systems, Advanced Climbing Technique, Belaying a second, Rappel Systems, Camping and Climbing using Leave No Trace Ethics

Prior Experience:
None

Physical/Mental Challenge:
Moderate to strenuous. Some easy to moderate hikes to access the climbing locations. There will be climbs suited to all levels of experience.

Included with Trip Registration

  • All necessary equipment such as ropes, hardware, helmets, rock climbing shoes, harnesses, tents, sleeping bags, etc
  • Transportation
  • Breakfast and lunch on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday
  • Dinner on Saturday and Sunday
