Girls and Women in Sports Day

11th Annual Girls and Women in Sports Play Day set for February 2
Texas Tech’s Departments of Athletics, Recreational Sports and Health/Exercise Sports Science are once again hosting a playday for elementary (K-5) grade girls and their moms on Saturday, February 2, 2008 in recognition of the National Girls and Women in Sports Day.  Girls and moms will actively participate in sports and game activities from 8:45-11:30 a.m. in the Student Recreation Center on the Tech Campus.  A light lunch will be served; everyone receives a t-shirt and two tickets to the Lady Raider game on Saturday evening at 7 pm against the Texas A & Am Aggies.    PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED BY CALLING 742.3828 beginning January 21st or emailing Fitwell.rec@ttu.edu.  Spots are limited.  The following information is needed:  girl’s name, mom’s (or other female adult mentor) name, girl’s grade and phone number.
