'Cricket Lives in Lubbock too'.
The Cricket Club at Texas Tech provides an opportunity for Texas Tech University students to participate in one of the premiere international sports, and do so with the support, equipment, and expertise of a peer group that displays unmatched passion for the game.
The club meets at the Old Polo Fields by Texas Tech Federal Credit Unions on Saturday and Sunday at 10 AM, and practices until 1 PM. Stop by and participate, we are happy to loan you equipment and integrate you into the game! The Texas Tech Cricket Club offers opportunities for both competitive and recreational play, and is always accepting new members.
The Cricket Club is a member of the American College Cricket association, which is partnered with the USA Cricket Association. The Texas Tech club has reached the highest level of recognition a college cricket program can achieve, and continues its participation in these larger organizations. Texas Tech Club Cricket offers leadership positions to some of its members, who gain valuable management experience while administrating the club they enjoy for the game they love.
The Cricket Club plays a dozen or more scheduled games every year, as well as holding its weekly practice events. We are aiming for the Spring Break Championship and the Chanderpaul Trophy event, and hope to make an impression as a club at those competitive venues.
