Gymnastics

The Tech gymnastics team is a competitive team comprised of Tech students, men and women, who share a love for flipping, tumbling, and defying all laws of gravity. The team generally competes in meets against University of Texas, Texas A&M, Baylor, Texas State, and Hardin-Simmons University, with each college hosting its own meet annually.  As a Club team, Texas Tech competes through the Texas Gymnastics Conference and has won “Sports club of the Year Award” for two years running and has had many individual finalists place at the National level.  There are no requirements to join except for a love of gymnastics and the desire to learn and participate, as well as reasonable semester dues. The Tech gymnastics team is relatively small, roughly 15 members. During the season, the team not only practices, works out, and plays in the gym together, but also meets for Sunday dinners to hang out and catch up.  Come see what it’s all about, because as read on the club team’s shirt: “What else is there to do in Lubbock”?
