The Texas Tech Inline Hockey Club is a student-run organization open to all students with an interest in Inline Hockey. The team practices at Southwest Sportsplex twice a week, Monday and Wednesday evenings. The club is active throughout the school year, and plays as many as 20 season games, starting in October and running through March. Additionally, the club has been afforded opportunities to participate in national tournaments in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
The Inline Hockey Club is a member of the Southwest Collegiate Hockey League, which in turn is a founding member of the National Collegiate Roller Hockey Association. The goal of both leagues is to promote and support collegiate inline hockey, as well as emphasize academic performance, institutional responsibility, and standards of play. Both leagues offer competitive opportunities to members, and the Texas Tech Inline Hockey Club has participated since each league’s inception.
