Judo

Judo is a versatile martial art, an olympic sport, and a discipline. Founded by Dr. Jigoro Kano in 1882, Judo (translated the Gentle Way) is known for its emphasis on nage-waza (throwing techniques) and ne-waza (ground techniques). It was founded to be able to redirect force with Maximum Efficiency and Minimum Effort.

Many enjoy the exercise Judo offers its students, some appreciate the ability to defend ones self, and others strive for competition.
