Lacrosse (M)

The Texas Tech Men's Lacrosse team are college and university-based students, from any discipline who come together to play lacrosse at the college level. Although we are not an NCAA sanctioned sport at Texas Tech, we are members of a different league of club lacrosse teams across the nation. Our conference, the Lone Star Alliance (LSA), consists of Oklahoma, University of Texas, TCU, Texas A&M, Baylor, Oklahoma State, SMU, LSU, Rice, Texas State, and UNT. The league, Men’s Colligate Lacrosse Association (MCLA), consists of schools such as USC, Michigan, Missouri, Kansas, Florida, Arizona State, BYU, Oregon, as well as many others. With 213 teams in 2 divisions the MLCA stretches across both the US and Canada and has more than double the amount that the NCAA has.

Our goal as an organization is to provide virtual varsity lacrosse program for students at Texas Tech. We hope to successfully contribute to Texas Tech and the community of Lubbock as the school’s only competitive lacrosse team. To personally develop individuals on and off the field through teamwork, hard work, and sportsmanship.

Lacrosse is a demanding sport, both physically and financially. We practice 3-4 times a week. Practice times and venue can be found below. Dues will cover equipment likes gloves, helmet, practice gear, and game uniforms, as well as away game lodging, ref fees, and league fees for the team. No tryout process in necessary. Players of all skill levels are welcome, although most of our players have High School experience. If you are interested in playing "the fastest game on two feet," please contact the personnel listed below! Wreck 'em Tech.
