The Tech Racquetball Club is designed to allow students interested to further their racquetball experience at Texas Tech as well as make them better at racquetball overall. We present its members with the opportunity to attend multiple statewide and even a nationwide tournament every season. The members of our club make up a ladder in which they are ranked according to challenge matches and tryouts at the beginning of the semester. Throughout the semester they are encouraged to attend multiple tournaments and challenge themselves through racquetball.
Last year we took 24th at the National Intercollegiate tournament in Tempe, Arizona. This year the tournament is going to be held in Springfield, Missouri and should be our biggest and most interesting trip this year. This semester we are introducing more social events for the members to attend in order to get to know each other more. This allows for more of a team atmosphere at the tournaments, which makes travelling to tournaments quite easier. Playing styles and personalities seem to be the highlight of our club, and in combination it can be quite an experience.
