The Texas Tech Tennis Club is an organization dedicated to bringing opportunities to participate in the sport to tennis to members of Texas Tech University. The Tennis Club is an open opportunity to all students, and admits new members of all skills levels at any time. The Tennis Club is active year-round, and has members of all types and competitive levels; freshman to graduate students, and long-time veterans of the sport as well as interested beginners. We take pride in serving the diverse population of Texas Tech with opportunities for practices and competitive tennis matches, and hope you will contact us or stop by to check out the club!
The competitive wing of the Texas Tech Tennis Club travels throughout the state of Texas to compete against other schools like the University of Texas, Texas A&M, and Baylor University. The USTA Campus Championship Texas Sectional will be in Austin this year, and there the club will compete, and hope to qualify for the National Campus Championship. The Tennis Club has only been active since 2006, but has qualified for national competition four times, and practices three times a week in hopes of continuing that streak, and promoting the fun and active sport of tennis for the Texas Tech community.
