The Texas Tech Tennis Club is a USTA sanctioned organization that offers both new and former players an opportunity to stay active and compete in a sport they enjoy. Throughout the school year, our team travels to Austin, Houston, and Waco to compete against rival schools such as the University of Texas, Texas A&M, and Baylor University as well as many other schools. We will be traveling back to Austin to play in the USTA Campus Championships - Texas Sectional Tournament with the hopes of qualifying for the National Campus Championship in Surprise, Arizona, for a fourth time since the Club was formed in 2006.
Our Club is composed of over one hundred players ranging from freshmen to graduate students, and is always continuing to grow. There are no try-outs for the team, as we welcome all levels of play. Practices are held Wednesday and Thursday at 5:30 until 7:00 and Sundays from 4:00 to 7:00. Our team competes year-round so there is never a sign up deadline. Anyone who is curious to experience what we are actually about is always more than welcome to show up to any practice during the week.
